Luzerner Kantonalbank issued AT1 Bonds

In February 2015, Luzerner Kantonalbank AG launched its issue of CHF 100,000,000 2.25% subordinated perpetual Bonds which constitute Additional Tier 1 Capital of Luzerner Kantonalbank AG. Zürcher Kantonalbank and Luzerner Kantonalbank AG acted as Joint-lead Managers. The Bonds will be listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange Ltd.

    On 6 June 2025, the Swiss Federal Council published proposed amendments to the Swiss Capital Adequacy Ordinance, including „more precise information on the term and suspension of interest payments for AT1 capital instruments.“ The authors question the necessity of these changes and warn against using opaque terms and „hard triggers“ without any exemptions.
